Robert D. Sevell, with over 35-years practicing as a healthcare attorney, brings a strong depth of knowledge and expertise to every client matter. Rob was formerly a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP, where he was a member of the firm’s Healthcare Industry Team. During his many years at Foley, Rob served in a number of leadership roles, most recently as co-chair of the Health Information Technology Work Group.
Rob has advised nonprofit and proprietary hospitals and health systems, medical groups and other providers on a wide range of healthcare regulatory and corporate compliance issues, and Medicare billing, fraud and abuse, and inurement issues. He has also developed and implemented compliance programs for hospitals, health systems, physicians, and physician groups and assisted with revisions to address new conditions or requirements. Robert has further counseled and assisted healthcare providers in investigating all manner of compliance concerns, including those precipitated by whistleblower actions and government investigations. He has advised clients on corporate governance issues and concerns of all sorts and has prepared record retention and numerous other corporate policies and procedures.
Rob has also handled a broad variety of business, transactional and finance matters, including real estate purchase and sales; joint ventures; mergers and acquisitions; contractual relationships of all kinds; as well as tax-exempt financings as both borrowers and underwriter’s counsel.
